Discount Policy Q & A

Retirees are eligible for a discount on merchandise and services when purchases are made with cash, check, Sears gift card (at Sears), Kmart gift card (at Kmart), Sears credit card, or other in-house credit card. The retiree discount is also allowed when PIN debit cards are used at most registers within stores.

ELIGIBILITY

All associates who retire in accordance with company policy are granted a retiree discount privilege. If retirees are married, discount cards may also be issued for their spouses. When ordering by direct mail, direct response, or phone individuals must provide the identification number from their discount cards.

• Sears retirees who retired before April 1, 2003 continue to receive the discount in Sears Full-line stores, Sears Essentials, Sears Grand, sears.com, Sears Hardware stores, Sears proprietary catalogs (including Craftsman and Fine Jewelry), The Great Indoors, Sears Auto Centers, Sears Home Services, landsend.com, plus discounts at Kmart, Big Kmart, and Kmart Super Centers.
• Sears retirees who retired after April 1, 2003 from Sears Corporate, Product Repair Services, CCN, SLS, SHIP, sears.com, Sears Retail Outlet Stores, or from the Sears Full-line, Sears Essentials or Sears Grand organizations are eligible for the discount at Kmart, Big Kmart and Kmart Super Centers, in addition to the discounts they received as active associates.
• All other Sears retirees who retired after April 1, 2003 are subject to the discount policy from the business from which they retired.

COUPONS

Purchases made using promotional coupons are not eligible for the discount. Purchases made using reward certificates, such as Sears Premier and KidVantage rewards, or Family & Friends discount shopping passes are eligible for the discount.
